The Time is Now, Be the Change

Founded in 2021, The Hour Has Come, Hold My Hand Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Our mission is to feed people in need regardless of their circumstances. The soup kitchen provides healthy and nutritional meals to all who come through our doors in need.

Our vision is to have a world with no insecurities where people are living their lives in fullness.

The hour has come is taking extra safety precautions to prevent and reduce the spread of COVID within our communities.

FOOD SECURITY

What is food insecurity?

Food insecurity, on the other hand, is defined by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as a situation of “limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways.

  • According to the USDA over 38 million people, including 12 million children in the US, are food insecure.

  • The covid pandemic has increased food insecurities in families with children, and prior to the pandemic, the African American families were already at a high rate of having food insecurities.

  • Rural communities are hit the hardest by hunger in the US, and many households don’t qualify for Federal Nutrition Programs and depend on food banks and other outreach programs.

The hour has come is motivated to help end hunger, and together we can work with the help of volunteers, governments, food banks, charities, and private sectors. We are humbled and grateful to have you on our side.
